Hello and welcome to my new site!! I’ll be sharing with you some tools so that you can reflect on your life just as I did mine. I love the tranquility the ocean brings; it brings me peace and relaxes me to think. When that’s not handy, I like to sit quietly at home with my favorite beverage, journal and pen, and reflect. Do you ever take the time to sit and reflect on your life; the things you did right,
but more importantly the things you did wrong?
Or, how about those red flags you ignored?
Oh how those bad decisions can sometimes lead you to make more of them. Ever wonder why you are the way you? What caused you to make those decisions when you know good and doggone well you shouldn’t have? Stick with me and we’ll get it figured out.
Oh my, I got so excited I forgot to introduce myself! My name is Marneta L. Griffin, a full-time employee and business owner in Michigan. I’m a two-time mother and five-time me-ma (grandmother)…can you believe it!?
My background is in organizing and event planning but I added writing to the mix by happenstance. In 2018 I released my first self-published book “I Stayed Too Long, But I’m Still Here“. Prior to that, I wrote my mother’s amazing life story–yet unpublished. But, that’s a story for another time…literally.
My own life experiences and bad choices lit a passion in me to tell my journey of survival. I desire to encourage, empower and inspire women, girls and even men to be the very best version of themselves.
Some readers of my book have shared….
I immediately want to hug her and tell her she’s beautiful. I’m anxious to see what morning brings and to follow her on what I expect to be a roller coaster of a journey. I want to cheer as she becomes strong and puts Justin in his place at the curb! ~Nikki
The story had me laughing, crying, angry, and even sad. It was also very relatable because I could see myself in the story. ~Sandra
James finds it “Interesting and tantalizing, I can’t wait to read more!”
I Won’t Judge You
In this judgment free arena we will do an autopsy on some of those bad decisions. Part of our healing involves understanding the “why” so we can learn how to “live” forward. Honesty and transparency is what I will give in each post. You need to know that you are not alone, you CAN overcome, you CAN learn, but more importantly you CAN HEAL. I will share my wisdom from the things I’ve learned over the years about myself and what I’ve gone through. My motto is “nothing just happens” because we don’t go through things for ourselves, but for other people. So, grab your coffee, grab your tea, pull up a seat–it’s time to reflect, get wisdom and soar higher.
